Boomerang White

Our spin on the traditional Belgian Wit Ale. Boomerang White features a special blend of botanicals to capture the essence of the popular style. Wheat malt provides a cereal backbone to the ale while flaked oats add a rich creamy finish complimenting the botanicals which add floral and citrus notes in this delicately refreshing brew.

Cornhusker Pre-Prohibition Ale

Cream Ale is one of a select few truly American style of beer. The style originated in the 1800 as Ale producers searched for a recipe to compete with the popular American Lagers of the time.  Cream Ale survived prohibition and features a simple blend of barley malt and flaked maize (corn). This combination is balanced by a mild hopping which should not be the main focal point of the ale. Our rendition is based on traditional Pre-Prohibition Cream ales. It is a bit stronger in both alcohol and hop presence true to the style of the day.   6.5%

Blackburn Shark Rye Irish Stout

Blackburn Shark Rye Irish Stout pays hommage to our friends from across the pond as we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day here at the brewery. A blend of roasted malts create layers of chocolate, toffee, and espresso while flaked barley and rye provide a silky mouthfeel with a hint of spice in the dry stout recipe. Come enjoy a pint while it last and have a bit craic!

March 22nd 7pm, Jess Klien
The New York Times calls Jess Klein “A songwriter with a voice of unblinking tenacity.”  Over two decades and 11 albums, Klein has built a powerfully personal body of work that reflects an instinctive emotional insight, an organic sense of introspection and an unshakable social conscience. Her newest release, Back to My Green explores what it means to maintain hopefulness in America in 2019.  It also reflects a bevy of changes in Klein’s personal life, including a new marriage to fellow songwriter Mike June and a cross-country move from the “Live Music Capital” of Austin, TX to rural North Carolina.

March 29th 7pm, Ally J
“Music is what brings me joy. Beginning with that first note and seeing someone in the crowd close their eyes and vibe with you is a priceless feeling. I’m a ball of nerves every single time I get on stage, but that connection-even if I only make one; that realization that I don’t know that particular person, but we know each other through the lyrics I’m singing, is magic.”

Guatemala – Finca OnaOná is one of the oldest coffee plantations in Guatemala. It is located in the department of San Marcos, in the bocacosta north of Coatepeque. Oná means “refuge of bees.” This coffee carries the Rainforest Alliance certification, which indicates that the farm is in compliance with rigorous environmental, social, and economic criteria. The Rainforest Alliance certification promotes decent living and working conditions, gender equality, and access to education for children within the farming community.

The coffee is cultivated under shade (Inga), in a volcanic soil, on hillsides with wavy topography, between 2,500 and 4,000 feet above sea level. It is harvested from September to February and its process carefully by hand. The coffee process at Finca Oná is something very special, for Oná it is an art to plant his coffee. The whole process is worked from the seed to the gold coffee that is carefully selected and processed. The varieties that are cultivated are: Arabico Bourbon and Caturra depending on the height in the farm where the planting takes place.
